I am HHMI Faculty Fellow and Visiting Professor at the Physics Department.   At the college, I have been teaching calculus based introductory physics courses and courses related to K -12 teacher preparation over the past several years. My current research work on physics education is centered on developing guided inquiry techniques to address student misconceptions, exploring ways to address diversity issues in physics and using pop culture in introductory physics teaching. I am also interested in studying potential application of graphene in batteries.
